Terraria is cut from the same cloth as Minecraft: what “plot” there is consists of mining for precious ores and crafting them into different materials. However, unlike Minecraft, Terraria is 2-D, and has jet packs. The weapons in the game range from lances to miniguns, with space rays, magic and unicorns interspersed throughout. And though the game takes some time to get used to, after the first 4 hours it comes into its own as a crazy, fighting cousin to the Minecraft world. This game is fun, if simple, and there is something satisfying about crafting giant star cannons to rid the world of evil monsters.
